Bab had her RNY surgery performed by Dr. Schauer and Dr.
Ikramuddin at Shadyside Hospital on June 20th, 2000.
Exactly 6 months after her surgery she reached her 100
pounds lost mark. She is now looking forward to
losing the last 40 pounds. At this rate, she should

Barb gave herself a wonderful Christmas present, hitting
her 100 pound lost goal when she was in the middle of the
holiday season. Barb's RNY surgery was performed by
Dr. Schauer at Presbyterian Hospital on July 24th which
means she has lost 104 pounds in 5 months!

Sulinn has just joined the Century Club going from 346 to
245 pounds. And what a time she has had! She
suffered from terrible nausea and vomiting problems
initially and was readmitted for testing, although Dr.
Ikramuddin could find nothing wrong. It was a very
difficult time for Sulinn, but she got through it and is
able to celebrate this wonderful accomplishment. Celebrate

Dani has reached the 100 pounds lost mark in only 4
months. She has gone from 267 to 165 and feels soooo
good. She really has been very careful about what
she eats, worrying more about the quality of the food she
eats rather than the quantity. She listens to her
body to determine what and when to eat. She also
exercises. Dani is really a model for success.

Peggy's surgery was Jan 18th, 2000 performed by Dr. Eric
Schlesinger at the Bariatric Treatment Center in
Belevidere, Il. Ten months later, she is 115 pounds
lighter with just 8 pounds to go to her one year goal.
As a letter carrier her job is so much easier. She
feels just great! She loves getting dressed in the morning
and is so happy that she has gone from a size 46 pants to
a loose 34. Peggy has come a long way. Send

Jeff's open RNY surgery was performed by Dr. Roy Berkowitz
in Belvedere, Il. on June 21st, 2000. At the time of
surgery, Jeff weighed 450 pounds. After less than 5
months, he has lost 103 pounds. Jeff can now fit
into a chair, climb a set of stairs without being totally
out of breath, sleep without his C-Pap machine and know
that he will live to see his boys graduate from high
school and maybe even bounce some grandchildren on his
knees. Jeff thanks God that he is on the way to a

Congratulations to John Pinigis who has lost 101 pounds
since his Lap RNY surgery July 17th, 2000. That's
101 pounds in 3 1/2 months!! John's surgeon was the
same as mine, the GREAT Dr. Schauer. John had some
severe complications initially, but they have all been
resolved. He reports that the differences in his
life are too numerous to list. John says, "All
I can say is it's been incredible." Send

Lynn believes her strong faith in God got her through her
surgery with little pain and His protection. She

waste precious time deciding. Life is too short.

Tamara had lap RNY surgery performed by Dr. Fowler at
Allegheny General Hospital on 12/1/98. Tamara is
5'6" with a starting weight of 290 and she is at 190
now. She would love to get to 170, but is on a long
plateau. Prior to surgery she had an enlarged heart.
Tamara was just tested and her heart is normal. She

A year ago Sharon suffered from hypertension, sleep apnea,

there the day she had her drain removed. She shared
